Explain how physical play can help children assess the risk in a safe and controlled environment?

If children are not allowed to run and play freely and hurt themselves, then they never learn how to be fully developed humans.

A so-called safe and controlled environment is the last place in which kids need to grow up in. What kids need, especially boys, is adventure. Because if boys don't get adventure at school where they can at least be supervised up to a point, then they will find it elsewhere to the detriment of the community at large - gangs etc.
