When a teen boy and teen girl are dating, its the GIRL that goes to Planned Parenthood and gets birth control pills...She has to pay for them. She has to pay for the pap smear and gyn exam. Also, she has to put her health at risk. BCP raises ones risk of heart attack seven times...It also raises the risk of cervical cancer.





I read an article that explained that the technology is definitely there to develop a male contracetpive pill, but society wouldn't accept it.Why do Girl Teens Have to Pay for the Birth Control Pills And Put Their Health At Risk?
How do you know the guy doesn't help pay? I'm sure many do and aside from that no one forces her,she is told the risks and a lot of couples use condoms as well as the pill.





As for the risks they are very low in a healthy young woman,that is why the health checks are carried out before it is given,to offer as much protection as possible.





Cervical cancer is a risk to ALL women,pill or not and even after the jab,that is why smears are the single most important thing in prevention as they detect changes before they are cancer,have smears and you will be fine,i am 32 and spent about 6 months out of my whole life on the pill and still got cervical abnormalities and had to have them removed,smear tests are the way to go and lots of things increase the risks.Why do Girl Teens Have to Pay for the Birth Control Pills And Put Their Health At Risk?

How about wait until your married then you wont have to deal with that. DUH!
for some of the other answers, planned parenthood doesn't give out birth control for free, you have to PAY for it. and who says boys don't pay for bc pills or at least pay a little part of it. not all boys are the same. besides, if they don't want to help pay for it, don't give it up to them. or make them wear a condom!

Thats all free where i live. Ive taken birth control at 14 because of bad period cramps. I am now 22 and dont have any health problems.
Your trying to rally a crowd where there is really no ground. The girl still chooses to go on birth control. The man should still where a condom to prevent STD's. Teenagers shouldn't be having sex. And Planned Parenthood gives birth control and pap smears based on income, which for a teenager is almost always free.
