What are the risks/side effects of the pill/birth control?

Does anybody know? What are the risks/side effects of the pill/birth control?
look on the planned parenthood website for full info or talk to your doctor.

here's the website: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/What are the risks/side effects of the pill/birth control?
Side effects from the pill are varied and different for everyone. That is why when you are on the pill you get your blood pressure, breasts etc checked every six months. There is a criteria for prescribing the pill, so don't worry too much as if there is any risk at all to your health you will not be prescribed it. And remember millions of women all over the world take it every day with no ill effects.
There are many, but most don't occur commonly. You can find a complete list in the product pamphlet. However, some types of pill will cause some side effects, and others will cayuse none, for different women. It's all about finding the right pill. The one I have been on for many years has caused me nothing but good side effects.
You should ask your doctor - i wouldn't rely on advice given here for something as important as your health.

There are many many side effects and some risks to all types of hormonal birth control, you can't really tell which will effect you until your on it but remember that if you're not happy with it after you start taking it you can always stop! (unless you get an injection)
