I know my doctor told me the health risks of stroke while on BC and smoking but does that apply to marijuana too? Also does it decrease its effectiveness?Does marijuana have the same health risks as ciggarettes if you are on birth control?
There is no hard research that says weed will decrease the effectiveness of BC. And most of the negative complications from cigarettes are from the vascular effects - nicotine causes your veins to shrink is one major one.

Any smoking no matter what it is will cause higher health risks. I don't think it deceases effectiveness but it's not worth the health risks. It could cause things blood clots, etc.
