How can physical play help children assess risk in a safe and controlled environment?

Children must always be carefully supervised to ensure their safety. However, it is also important to let children develop their physical skills by joining in with more challenging activities or using more advanced equipment. This will help them to learn to assess risks for themselves in a controlled environment where you are on hand to help ad guide.

You can alert children to risks beforehand through warnings and discussions This will help you to avoid over- protecting the children in your setting.
