What are birth control risks?

hi

ok so to make a long story short, im 15 and i am going to be starting birth control soon purley for period and ovary pain purposes. My doctor is going to be starting me on them in the next couple of days but i am a bit worried because i am not the best at remembering to take pills everyday so what i want know is:

what are the possible side effects if i miss a day or more?

Also what are the general risks for just taking birth control?

Thanks!What are birth control risks?
Maybe it would help if you put the pills on your night stand and took them at bedtime every night. That is how I always remembered. Or you could set your phone to ring at a certain time every day to help you remember. If you miss one pill, take two the next day. If you miss two in a row, take two each of the next two days. If you miss three or more, your period may start, and you can just start a new pack on the Sunday of you period. If you should become sexually active and miss three or more, use condoms until 7 days into the new pack.

Since you are only 15, the usual side effects of blood clots, heart problems, etc., probably won't be anything you should worry about. You can go to the website for your particular pills and read all of the risk information on there or there will be a pamplet with them that will answer your questions.

hope this helps..
