Is it really as big of a risk as everyone makes it sound to have sex w out a condom while on birth control?

its all down to trust your not going to get pregnant if your on the pill so its just down to a question of trust is he clean (are you clean it works both ways don't forget) and that's down to you only you know when you trust him enough

the chances of you getting anything is still slim even though there has been a sharp rise in chlamydia but its a lottery you may be lucky you maybe not its totally your choice

ho and don't listen to the old myths, wife's tales and lies

circumcision does NOT (proven) give any protection from std/HIV or any other sexual infection NONE it's all lies

you are just as safe with a normal uncut maleIs it really as big of a risk as everyone makes it sound to have sex w out a condom while on birth control?
Yes - they protect against two different things really. A condom obviously protects against both diseases and getting pregnant - while the pill only makes it so you are LESS LIKELY to get pregnant.

You both need to be tested for STD's before you have sex without a condom. No matter how much you both THINK you don't have an STD, there's always a chance. Ideally, you should NEVER have sex without a condom unless you are married. (And really, shouldn't be having sex period unless you are married.) But everyone has their own moral and agenda. Just take every precaution necessary, because the last thing you want is ONE night of sex to ruin your life!Is it really as big of a risk as everyone makes it sound to have sex w out a condom while on birth control?
No, it's not a big risk. The pill is 99.9% effective when taken properly so the risk of pregnancy is 0.1% or not. Up to you to decide if that's a big risk or not...I say not.

Of course lots of people can't take the pill properly. If a girl has a habit of missing pills, then she should use condoms as well.

And about STDs - depends on your partner. I suppose there is a chance of them cheating, cheating without a condom, with an infected person, and picking the infection up - but again that's quite low. The girl has to decide if she wants to take the risk or not.
A risk for what? Pregnancy or STD's?

If you take birth control pills correctly, they are very effective in preventing pregnancy. BUT they don't do anything about protecting you against STD's. If you are unmarried, even in a committed relationship, I suggest using a condom. You never know and it's better safe than sorry.
Well, you might get an STD if he has one. Pregnancy? No. the whole point of being on birth control is not having to use condoms. ^__^
if your partner is tested and std free birthcontol works pretty good so theres no need for a condom but if you dont know if hes clean u can catch a std
its still 50/50....and if ur under 20 then yep
