What is the risk of getting pregnant if you do not use birth control methods??

Obviously...there is a very high risk of getting pregnant if you do not use contraception...i know that...but i wondered if anyone knew the figures????What is the risk of getting pregnant if you do not use birth control methods??
It will be pretty high. Maybe around 80-90%. Thousands of years of evolution has worked towards perfecting the process of reproduction, so it's not easy to get around.What is the risk of getting pregnant if you do not use birth control methods??

I have two very healthy children. Never using pills, only other methods. Pills are no good. Only risk is surprise and fear whenever you don`t want to be pregnant / if you are healthy, of course/.
lets just say that if you don't want a baby, and you don't use birth control - DON'T HAVE SEX.


technically you can become pregnant any day of your cycle... although most women have about a 14 day window that is best for pregnancy.


an average woman has a 28 day cycle with the first 5 days being her period. the average woman has a 14 day luteal phase (her window). the first day of the luteal phase is ovulation and the phase ends the day before your period. you can essentially become pregnant during any point in this phase... (there are other statistics, but i'm trying to keep this simple.) to find the day of ovulation, you subtract your luteal phase from your average cycle length... so in this case 28-14=14. you would ovulate on the 14th day of your cycle.... which is half your cycle. so the way i figure - you have a 50% chance of getting pregnant if you have sex and don't use birth control...
I think the inside of my pill package used to show the figures and condoms too, if my memory serves, the time span for the study is 12 months and the pregnacy rate for no method is the control group and is around 80%. Meaning 80% of women who are not practicing any method of birth control will concieve within 12 months.
not that high really, unless you are charting your ovulation and such.
