Is there any birth control pill with reduced risk of blood clots?

Hi, im 18 years old and i have PCOS (Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome). I have irregular periods, sometimes i don't have one for about 5-6 months and then when i get my period it is really heavy and painful. I also have excess body hair and this really gets me down because it seems to be getting worse. I have heard that if i went on the pill, my periods would become regular and it would help with my excess hair, is this true? The problem i have with the pill is that i am disabled and i am confined to a wheelchair and cannot move my legs and do not have much movement in my arms. My G.P was worried about putting me on the pill because of the risk of blood clots so he sent me to see a specialist and even they can't advise me. What can i do? Does anyone on here know of any pill which has reduced blood clot risks? ThanksIs there any birth control pill with reduced risk of blood clots?
iya babe,

my ex partner was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and told she wouldnt b able 2 become pregnant even if she wanted.

at the time she was 26 with irregular periods (15-25 days) and quite heavy. body hair wasnt 2 bad as its tastier shaven but she had some facial (top lip/chin) and had been on the pill for a few year. anyway...after trying for a baby for 6 month she became pregnant and we had a lovely daughter, as for reducing your hair growth, i dont no if you can but she used a hair lightener on arms and removal cream on the lip n chin. the periods were still painfull and used 2 take co-codamol.

get your partner 2 shave you babe, i wud.

good luck, hope i may help.

I think all the pills have a slightly increased risk of blood clots due to the hormones! =(

My friend has PCOS and uses a NuvaRing which she likes, that has hormones too, but it just goes in your vagina by your cervix, not like the hormones go directly into your bloodstream. Maybe that would be safer? You could ask about those. I do know it hasn't helped with her body hair much though. =( Sorry! Good luck!
