Is it a big risk to miss taking birth control pills by a few hours?

No. I took my pills at different hours of the day for 6 years and I never got pregnant. Its just a precaution that they have to write in there. It will be fine. The pill is in your system. If you missed it by a day or two, thats when I would be concernedIs it a big risk to miss taking birth control pills by a few hours?
No; just take it as soon as you remember it, or can get to them if you are away and realized that you forgot to take it. If you miss a pill by an entire day, then take it with the next day's pill. If you miss more than one, then it's probably a good idea to use some other form of protection, but missing by only a few hours isn't generally a problem. Is it a big risk to miss taking birth control pills by a few hours?
yes it is. if you don't want to get pregnant you should take them as directed.
Generally, doctors say you should take it within a two hour window everyday. Missing it by a little won't hurt you, but I'd play on the safe side and use a condom too. If you don't want kids, it never hurts to be overly cautious. I set an alarm on my cell phone to repeat everyday, that way I never miss a pill as long as it's with me.
it never bothered my friend...she'd double up or whatever to catch up..but i think you should be fine
definently not. ive missed taking it on time so many times while on it and it never did anything for me
No, it isn't. Once you hit the 2 day mark then you up your risk of pregnancy. They really only advise you to take them the same day every day to get into a routine of doing it so you don't forget to take them.
Actually it is a big risk because even missing a few can give you a chance to become pregnant when having intercourse. So you cannot skip any day ever.
No no no... but you can always get pregnant still. it wouldn't be because you missed it by a few hours... it would happen anyway. that would not be the cause.
No, as long as you didn't miss them by a day. A few hours won't hurt.
Days yes, but hours???....NO
not at all. Even if you miss a day you can just take it the next day. Dont worry
no
If you read the insert provided with your birth control, it will tell you that birth control is 99% effective when used at EXACTLY the same time every day. Each hour that ticks by reduces the effectiveness of the product. I used to carry mine with me at all times and had my alarm set for the proper time to take them.
No, it's safe. The key is to keep your blood levels of the hormones relatively constant, but being off by a few hours isn't a big deal. They generally say that once you've missed two days you need to use some other form of protection for a while (and if you miss one you take two pills the next day). Yeah, it's possible it might slightly reduce the effectiveness of the pill, but it's pretty reliable even if the time you take it varies. This is as opposed to condoms, where poor usage can make them next to useless (every once in a while I meet someone who has something like a third of the condoms they use break...).

I should point out that it REALLY doesn't matter if you have one of the birth control pills that has sugar pills in it (no hormones) and you are on that segment of the pills -- they only have you take them so you don't get out of the routine of taking the pills every day.
no so long as you take it everyday your protected
I think that you shouldnt be having sex in the first place if you dont want kids. But hey, most women dont want to hear that anyways but its the truth. Close your legs until your ready to have kids.
no i never take my pills at the same time and i have never had any problems...
NO, thnx for the 2 pts.
no just try harder to stay on track or change your method I love the nurva ring and about to get the t cause i dont whant any kids right now
no maybe if u missed a day
A few hours isn't going to be a big deal, but try not to forget consistently. Maybe you should try taking it later on a regular basis. (It doesn't really matter what time you take them, just that you take them at the same time all the time.)
