Risks of using birth control to stop period?

Im not sexually active, but i have really heavy periods (also lasting 7-10 days) What are the risks of using BC? Is it true that you might grow a beard from using BC too much? Help!Risks of using birth control to stop period?
Haha no! Birth control pills don't have anything in them that will cause you to become a man.


There aren't any real risks, but if not taken properly and you have sex without a condom then the risk of sti's and pregnancy are high.





There was a lot of speculation about getting breast cancer through the pill, which was proven to be false.





Speak to your doctor or family planning clinic (if you live in the UK) and they will tell you all you need to know.





The first answer is a load of crap.


You will not gain 10lbs, your boobs and bum won't be significantly bigger, the breast cancer scare has been researched further and you will NOT want to eat all the time.

Using BC pills (hormone supplement) will make you:


1) gain weight (10 lbs) and make your boobs and derriere much bigger


2) predispose you to breast cancer later


3) make you want to eat all the time





But you will not grow a beard (only when you take Testosterone)
i dont think you owill grow a beard. if you are scared to take it you should really talk to ur doctor. but i kno that taking birth control increases the chances of getting a blood clot.
