About birth control, how big a risk is taking two pills every two days?

every other day i've been forgetting to take my pill, it says as long as i double up if i miss a pill im fine. I am just worried that this will make the birth control less effective.About birth control, how big a risk is taking two pills every two days?
You're gambling with your sexual health. Simple answer: Be more responsible! Take it EVERY day. Millions of people can handle taking a pill every morning or night. There's no excuse to get lazy about something so important. Taking it every other day is not what is recommended for a reason. You aren't going to get the same effectiveness if you make up your own rules.

Be certain to use condoms 100% of the time and do NOT rely on pulling out or pre-ejaculate not containing sperm. Both of those methods are simply foolish.About birth control, how big a risk is taking two pills every two days?
Definitely not good. The pill works by regulating hormone levels to stop ovulating and keep the cervix lining thick, if you take a stronger dose every two days instead of a medium one every day itll mean you're hormone levels violently fluxuate and you're body will be very much less protected against pregnancy as it's not consistent. Either set an alarm each time you need to take it or have it before you do a set thing, like i always take mine before i watch a daily tv show and keep it by my tv remote so I remember. If not, get a different form of contraception - it's not worth the risk. xx
I hate to tell you this, but that is NOT good. To miss one dose and double up the next day once every month isn't bad, but the more times you miss and double up, the less protection from pregnancy you are receiving. If I were you, I'd look into another form of birth control, such as the NuvaRing (my friend swears by it) and/or the patch.
Doubling up does NOT work. So you are not protected.

The amount of drug in your system needs to be on a plateau to work effectively. This means the same amount of it in your body every day.

Take it at the same time EVERY day to be covered.

If you start doing it right today, you will still not be covered for three days

your clearly not responsible enough to take the pill

its extremely dangerous to keep doubling the pill, it wont be effective!

use condoms!

and set and alarm on your phone daily to remind you to take it!
Doing that often can decrease the effectiveness of the pills. I had trouble remembering mine so I kept them beside my toothbrush, because I always brush my teeth as soon as I get up. Then I kept up with them a lot better.
Hopefully you aren't having sex. If you are, you shouldn't be because you aren't responsible enough.
