If I use birth control, condoms etc. what's my risk at pregnancy?

I'm a virgin, and really want to become sexually active with my BF. And wanted to give him something special for V-Day. But want to be as safe as possible. With condoms and birth control, what are my chances of pregnancy? And does anyone else have expierences, and other prevention techniques? And is birth control really 99.9% affective?

Ahh...contraceptives.





Yes, 99% ... IF used properly.





There's all these ';DO NOT DOs'; with condoms. Such as not flipping inside out, only handling gently in case of a tear, etc etc.





As for birth control, those are as well, 99% effective...IF used properly. That means, not missing out on one day of the pill, etc until you finish up the cycle of one month.





If...you have a feeling that something went wrong, there's always ';Plan B';.

Condoms aren't a very effective birth control they can come off or tear the pill is far more effective if you take it religiously at around the same time each day.. There are other methods more for long term like the implant or the depo provera shot my doc told me not to consider these if i was planning on another bub in the next 3 years, you would be best off going to your doctor to find out what will best suit you and your body, would advise you go asap so your prepared and ready to go by valentines day most contraceptives take about 2 weeks to have full maximum effect.. yeah all birth control is 99% effective if use correctly, if you use both then you've got lesser chance of getting pregnant.





I was in the pill for 2 years and had sex with my partner all the time, i never once had a pregnancy scare, it's only rare that people get pregnant on the pill but it does happen, so to be extra safe then use both.

I'm not exactly sure...I think they work pretty good...I guess wat kind of brand yuo buy...but if you aren't married...then you shouldn't be sexually active...it's a sin!!!
