Thanks.Risk of pregnancy with only birth control?
hey, I have been on the pill for over 4years and constantly have sex with boyfriend without useing a condom. and I am yet to fall pregnant.
There is only a 0.1% chance that she will fall pregnant as long as she is taking them at the same time each and everyday.
But remember pregnancy isnt the only thing that condoms stop...Risk of pregnancy with only birth control?
Pills are 99% effective as long as she takes them right and doesn't miss pills you should be fine it is very rare to get pregnant on the pill even though we probably know people that claim they got pregnant on the pill. Be careful if she is ever on an antibiotic they lessen the effectiveness.
theres still a chance. it is very small. but birth control is a 99% pregnacy protection, but there is still that 1%, and though it may not seem like alot, there is still a chance, and once it happens, there r ALOT of big decisions 2 make.
the chances are really low for her to get pregnant, but if she is there's a after pill (forgot what its called) that you take after you had sex; you can take it up to 5 days after but its most effective within the 3 days you had sex; it prevents the pregnancy.
edit--------------
its called plan b or the morning after pill
the pills 99% effective. Especially if shes been on it for a while my gf was on it a few years and when she and her husband tried to have kids it took them over a year.
**There is other risk i.e stds**
Well all birth control methods aren't 100%, pills are around 97-99%.
I've been using just pills for over a year, just my boyfriend doesn't c um inside me..
Condoms have a 99% chance of protection.
Medication such as the pill only have about 70% chance of protection.
some pills can affect birth control effectiveness. Not food.
make sure she takes her pill at a certain time everyday, if she misses a pill then she can double up.
Neither one of those are 100% effective so there is a small chance of her getting pregnant, and if she does become pregnant there is a great chance of birth defects.
There would still be a chance of pregnancy, because birth control isn't 100% effective (neither are condoms).. but it wouldn't be likely.
i believe the chances are 1 in 400 IF she takes all pills on time and doesn't eat foods/drinks that interfere with the pills.
